  • Older travelers

Brilliant location. Lovely view over the sea from the balcony. We only had the breakfast but it was absolutely delicious. Staff seemed very friendly and it was quite an infromal atmosphere. To get back in to the Hotel from the steep beach steps I had to come through the empty dining room which seemed a bit strange when it was empty but no one seemed to mind. We had a lovely weekend there. Thankyou

If we were looking for something to dislike there were a things that some people may find problems like slight lack of parking at the front and our toilet was broken but they did offer to move us. The room we had was fairly small but perfectly adequate. We took our own kettle after reading other peoples reviews!

  • Couple

Friendly staff, helpfull and nice. The view was stunning! Location is great - you can hear the sea but not the traffic! Breakfast traditonal.

The rooms are not huge but totally sufficient.

  • Family with children

We hired three rooms that were very clean (especially the bathrooms) and the staff were friendly and helpful; lovely view of the sea from all the rooms.

    There were no signs or arrows showing room numbers in the split level corridors to guide us to our rooms; two of the three rooms had inadequate heating;

  • Older travelers

    Fabulous location abd friendly staff

The food was only reasonable. Breakfast was well cooked but limited for the type of establishment

  • Couple

    Nice view, modern furnishings

staff a bit abrupt on arrival, but helpful in the end. No safe area for bikes

  • Older travelers

Staff friendly and eager to please

Breakfast unimaginative and disappointing. Dinner service appallingly slow - chef apparently on his own - food when it arrived was good. There did not seem to be any coordinated management, staff tried hard and were eager to please, but a bit like headless chickens!

  • Older travelers

We liked the sea view from our bedroom which was one of the only saving graces of the disappointment at the rest of the hotel .

attitude of the restaurant staff especially at breakfast time which made each morning unpleasant . evening meals very overpriced and no ambience in restaurant . lack of parking . standard of cleanliness . plastic cups in bathrooms . numerous stairs from rooms to restaurant no lift . no lounge facilities . did not live up to what is presented on the website . not suitable for children or elderly.

  • Couple

    Great seaview and nice staff.

The balcony should be better cleaned.

  • Older travelers

Excellent view of the sea and passing ships. Closness to the seafront and town. Direct path from hotel to seafront. Plenty of choice for breakfast, and lots of hot coffee.

Bed mattress was dished so you rolled to the middle. One of a two electric socket didn't work so unable to watch tv and boil a kettle! Room was a little on the small side.

  • Older travelers

    The balcony with sea view

The lack of hot choices at breakfast (no other choice except what was on show) - the chef needs to learn how to fry an egg! We only had a rubberised ring of hard egg which seems to have been cooked about 3 hours previous. A breakfast menu would have been nice with alternative hot choices. The one evening meal we had was delicious.

  • Older travelers

Very stylish hotel with wonderful sea views. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Spotlessly clean. Good value for money!

For a "super deluxe double" the room was small and should have had a bath as well as a shower, but suppose the balcony did make up for it. Nice restaurant, but an extremely pretentious menu that put us off taking evening meals.

  • Older travelers

poor parking. had to park in near car park. and the bar shut early for a sat night. 9/45.

  • Older travelers

Great views, good location and nice food. Room was comfortable and well proportioned

Limited parking. No opening windows. There is a door to the balcony but you cannot safely leave this open at night as the balconies inter-connect.

  • Older travelers

Beautiful sea view. Good breakfast & breakfast service. Convenient for beach & excellent country walks.

No on -site car parking, very limited public car parking nearby. Small room size. No bath, only shower. Though a 'super-deluxe', room was no better than a Premier Inn standard double room.

  • Older travelers

The staff were all friendly and attentive and the room was attractive and we liked the balcony overlooking the sea.

I was disappointed not to have a bath only a shower in the en-suite as I like to relax in the bath each evening normally. Also, the food was very disappointing, extremely salty and peppery and with heavy sauces. And finally the kettle in our room was too hot to touch once it had boiled so we had to use a towel to pick it up and pour it or we would have burned ourselves.
